A new Life

It hasn't been an interesting place since it's existance began, and although different people have struggled to make it an exciting place, Homestead is just Homestead. It is filled with families, from each and every race, filled with businesses, some self-owned and others corporate owned, filled with individuals with different beliefs and different ethics. On one of it's corners though, stands a tall and sturdy building, a simple place yet extravagent with meaning to people. It is a place where people worship an almighty creator, and it is this same place where a girl ended up. She had gone through so many stages of her life and on so many occasions she was led to say, "this is it for me, i simply can't live anymore"

many of her friends had told her once and once again "you must keep going, life is just too beautiful"

And on one particular morning, this girl ended up in this temple, filled with despair and suicidal thoughts, she listened as the preacher went on and on, and all the while she felt a tugging sensation in her heart, as if this was where she belonged.

The preacher went on with his sermon, giving his own testimony, saying, " there is a better way in life, although Christ doesn't directly take your problems away, He lifts the burdens from you, He'll be there when no one else will be, He's the only one we can trust in, because even when we've made soo many mistakes, He's there to pick us up again and again"

The young girls heart screamed at her, "this is what you've been looking for!!!" it seemed to keep saying.

The minister then invited anyone who wanted to accept Christ to come up front.

The girl stood up, walking away from her past, and all the while, wanting to turn around and wanting to forget it all.

She took each step as if it were her last one, and when she finally made it up front she whispered to herself, "God, I've messed up soo many times, I feel like nothing, but today I accept you as my one and only Savior, I believe that for You nothing is impossible."

At that moment her heart seemed to shatter, and that is when she finally realized what her friends had said,
"life is just too beautiful," because all along they had God in their heart as well.

  1. This is a powerful story! However, in this assignment, I wanted you to focus more on telling the story through dialogue rather than through exposition. I hope you enjoyed the challenge. :)
